Documentation & Procedures
Qualitek Safety can provide documentation specific to your business/charity requirements such as:
- Health & Safety Policy -This is a legal requirement of the 1974 Health and Safety at Work Act if more than 5 employees. The policy sets out who, what, when and how health and safety will be managed in an organisation. In the case of charity/ voluntary work a policy can be a useful aid to the trustees in maintaining good H&S practice.
- Fire Policy - As part of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 organisations, whether business or charitable, must carry out Fire Risk assessments and set out their actions plans to prevent fire as well as their emergency procedures. If carrying out building work your building control may ask for this document as part of the approval procedure.
- Child Protection/Vulnerable Groups Policies - for organisations working with Vulnerable groups this document set out how and who will be responsible in ensuring the safety and well-being of those in their care.
- Safe Working Practice documents - A document for a group of workers outlining the Health and Safety issues they will encounter in their work and how they must be dealt.
- Method Statements - These are task specific detailed documents specifying how you will carry out a particular process including methods of controlling risks.
- Volunteer/worker Safety Handouts - A useful document if you are a voluntary organisation that rely on other volunteers for work and need a ready source of safety information specific to you premises. Can also be used as an information tool for contractors or employees to aid complying with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- New Worker Induction Documents and Test Sheet - Employers are legally responsible to give safety training to new employees. However without some form of test it is not possible to show that the training was effective. We can design induction documents and test sheets specific to your business/organisation.
- Contractor Induction Documents - These document ensure that contactors are clear in their responsibilities whilst working on your premises and specify the course of action in case of emergencies. Documents can be produced for both CDM and non CDM contractor situations.
- Annual Action Plans - documentation setting out when, by whom, and what should be tested, reviewed, undergo maintenance etc. A useful tool especially if you do not have full time H&S personnel.
Qualitek safety can also provide documentation for safety audits or carry out audits on your behalf if you do not have a competent person.
