Health Surveillance

(These are requirements of specific legislation that must be carried out.)

  • Audiometry – where required under Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005
  • Spirometry – where required under Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
  • Skin Surveys – where required under Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
  • Hav’s surveys – (including Tier 3 surveys) where required under Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005
  • Night workers assessment – required under Working Time Regulations 1998

Health Screening

(These are requirements that should be carried out as required by risk assessments.)

  • Drug & Alcohol Testing
  • Fitness for work e.g. Work at Height medicals -which should be reviewed every 3 years
  • Vision testing
  • Driver medicals – HSE ACOP L117 requires that you “Always seek medical advice where there is any doubt about a person’s fitness to operate a lift truck” and advises “medical examination every five years from age 45, and every year from age 65”
  • Work at height medicals
  • Return to work assessments and work plans
  • Fitness to work certificates

We offer blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and PSA testing etc.

We offer fitness to work medicals as required by some construction companies.
